Management MSU Team Participates in Key Training for Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program Beneficiaries

Chisinau, December 4, 2024 – The Management MSU team, a partner member of the INTERSMARTS project, participated in a high-level training organized by the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program. The event, designed for beneficiaries of the 1st call for proposals, was an essential platform for ensuring compliance with program regulations and optimizing project implementation.

The training covered critical aspects of program management, including:

  • Key Grant Contract Provisions: Comprehensive understanding of obligations and compliance under grant agreements.
  • Using Jems for Reporting of Partners and to the MA: A detailed walkthrough of the Joint Electronic Monitoring System (Jems) for efficient reporting by partners and to the Managing Authority.
  • Procurement Rules: Ensuring adherence to EU and program-specific procurement regulations.
  • Management Verifications: Best practices for internal and external verification processes.
  • Anti-Fraud Measures and Irregularities: Safeguarding projects against fraud while addressing potential irregularities.

The training provided invaluable insights into the administrative and technical requirements of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program, which is co-funded by the European Union. It also reinforced the importance of transparency, accountability, and effective management in achieving project objectives.
